I’m pretty sure you lose nothing but depreciation on every vehicle you buy. What the hell is he trying to say?
Also, dude is kind of a dick.

What does buying a car have to do with being a ‘cuck’ ?

Or, you by used and DON’T take that big off-the-lot depreciation hit.
Not saying you shouldn’t buy new, but to say you shouldn’t buy used is just as idiotic...

I don’t even think the poster knows what he’s trying to say, so there’s no point in even thinking about it.
Trolls gonna troll, you know?

Definitely a dick, and he makes no sense. I only buy used because I get great deals on cars that way.

He might be going for “buying used (at the dealer)“ is for___, because the dealer is making theoretically greater profit on a used car that they paid low for, sold high, than a new car bought at invoice. Because apparently the amount the dealer makes is an indicator of how much you are or are not getting for your money and not transformative economics in action.

I’m getting really annoyed by the overuse of the word “cuck”. If you’re going to use it, use it properly. It doesn’t make sense in this context.
Also, this guy is a moron.

ALPHA MALES DON’T WORRY THEMSELVES WITH MAKING POOR FINANCIAL DECISIONS!
Yeah that’s my best guess.

No, it’s short for cuckold, which was regrettably entered into soccer mom lexicon this year thanks to DJT vs. HRC Epic Throwdown. Typically used by the uneducated twats who voted a certain way and believe they can assert as an Alpha online, despite that basically being the exact trait of someone who lacks the personal internal security of an Alpha.
So basically, takes one to know one. Or “I know you are but what am I?”

Well, yeah, you pay more than a trade in value when purchasing. The dealer is a business, not a charity.

I’m gonna take a crack at understanding this, realizing that this is all hypothesis and extrapolation on my part.
I think he’s saying that someone who buys a used car from a dealer is getting screwed because you pay the dealer so much more than the dealer paid to acquire the car as a previous trade in. I just observed this looking at a used car at a Ford dealer this last week. Through a quirk of fate, I found the guy who sold it to the dealer, and I know that the dealer is marking it up over $3K over what he paid for it. If I bought it from the previous private seller rather than the dealer, then I could theoretically have saved that much for the same car.
But, this has nothing to do with whether or not a used car is a good deal relative to market value. And it certainly has nothing to do with whether a price on a new car is a good deal. I think this bozo is basing his estimate of value of a car on the difference between what he pays for it and what the dealer paid for it, hence his “invoice” comment.

Just a random ass trying to prove how much a of real man he is by bragging about the great deals he can negotiate when by a car.

This is probably the best rationalization I’ve heard so far and makes the most sense. But basing value solely of how much of a markup you’re paying is the dumbest thing I’ve heard in a while

I wonder if he realizes you would pay about the same from a private party as you would from a dealer. The guy getting screwed here is the guy who traded in.
